Register Inputs#
Inputs are the devices that send information to the Atlas. You can choose between Flowmeter or Digital Input.
- Select the Atlas and go to its main screen
- Tap on one of the "Input" cards or go to the IN section, depending on the type of device installed.
- Choose the input type: Flowmeter (to measure volume) or Digital Input (for ON/OFF status sensors such as a pressure switch or rain detector)
Flowmeter form fields#
- Define the flowmeter name and its location.
- Add the initial accumulator (or preset value): this is the quantity or number from which the flowmeter starts counting. This is the value shown on the flowmeter dial; if the flowmeter is new, select 0. Modify the accumulator unit if needed. This unit will be used to display flowmeter data on the platform.
- Flowmeter pulses: these are the discrete electrical signals that the flowmeter receives and interprets as events to count. Each pulse represents one unit of what is being measured. The unit can be changed and the value can be set to 0.1, 1, 10, 100 or 1000.
- Finally, add the nominal flow rate.
Digital input form fields#
- Define the digital input name and its location.
- Select the default sensor state between NO (Normally Open) and NC (Normally Closed). This refers to the logical state the input has when the sensor has not been triggered (it is in its normal or resting state).
- Select the functionality, i.e. the type of digital input from the available list.
Flowmeter and Digital Input View#
In this section you can view in real time and consult the historical data received by each flowmeter (instantaneous flow and accumulated volume) and the status (open/closed) of each digital input.
You can see the data received in each of the Atlas publications (depending on the device). If you want to see the data in real time, you can request the device to refresh by pressing the refresh button.
Register Outputs#
Outputs are the elements to which the Atlas sends information. They can be pumps, valves, fertigation units and agitators.
- Select the Atlas and go to its main screen
- Tap on one of the "Output" cards or go to the OUT A or OUT B section depending on the device installed.
- Choose the output type: Pump, Valve, Fertigation Unit or Agitator.
- Tap on the map to select its location. If you selected the wrong location, tap the trash icon and select a new location.
- Tap the "Save" button to finish
Pump form fields#
- Define the pump name.
- Add the nominal flow rate. (pump working flow rate)
- Add the pump power.
- Add the pump price.
Valve form fields#
- Define the valve name
- Define whether it is a master valve. Check this option if this valve acts as the main or master valve in the installation.
- Add the nominal flow rate (valve working flow rate)
Fertigation unit and agitator form fields#
Define the name of the fertigation unit or agitator and its location.
Actuator View#
Access any Atlas and tap on any created output.
In this section you can view in real time, act on the element and consult the historical data received by each valve, pump, fertigation unit or agitator (opening and closing tracking).
The actuator information is divided into two sections: Information and monitoring.
Information
- The battery status and coverage of the Atlas associated with the element are displayed.
- Mode: Actuators can be in 3 different modes: Manual (Closed): Default state in which the element is created. Manual (Open): The element is open. Automatic: The element acts according to other conditions such as external programs. It will be open or closed depending on its programming.
- Nominal flow rate: Working flow rate of the element entered at creation.
- Atlas name and IMEI.
When any actuator is created, its default state will be manual and closed. Change its state to automatic mode if you want the actuator to activate according to the created programming.
Register Sensors#
Sensors are devices that send information to the Atlas.
When registering sensors, we can differentiate between 3 different types: I2C, 4-20 and SDI-12.
- Select the Atlas and go to its main screen
- Tap on the section corresponding to the sensor type or directly on the "Sensor" card
- Click on one of the empty cards.
- Choose the sensor type to add.
- Define the sensor name
- Complete the fields related to the sensor configuration. (These will depend on each sensor type)
- Tap on the map to select its location.
- Tap the "Save" button to finish
Some relevant cases
- 4-20 mA sensor: Only accessible through the I2C-4-20 section on the card labelled "4-20". The generic 4-20 sensor allows you to add a sensor with up to 2 channels and enter maximum and minimum values for each of them.
- Level sensor: The level sensor requires entering an initial depth that refers to the depth difference between the total depth and the depth at which the sensor is located.
Sensor View#
Access via the map or enter any Atlas and tap on any created sensor. You will find them on the Atlas screen or in the I2C – 4-20 or SDI-12 section depending on the sensor installed.
In this section you can view in real time and consult the historical data received by each sensor (data according to sensor type).
If the sensor has multiple channels, the last reading of each will be shown at the top. It is possible to access the detailed view of each one at the bottom.
You can see the data received in each of the Atlas publications (depending on the device). If you want to see the data in real time, you can request the device to refresh by pressing the refresh button.
Edit Elements#
To edit the elements installed in an Atlas, follow these steps.
- Access the Atlas where the element is installed
- Tap on its card identified by its name and functionality icon and access the detail view.
- Within the detail view, tap the "Edit" button
- Make the necessary changes and tap "Save" to confirm
Locked fields when editing#
Some fields are automatically disabled when the element has an associated alert or condition. This prevents the linked functionality from being misconfigured.

How to modify a locked field?
- Delete the alert or condition associated with the element.
- Edit the desired field.
- Save the changes.
- Recreate the alert or condition with the new configuration.
The field will appear enabled but an error will be shown when saving the new configuration.
Delete Elements#
To delete an element:
- Go to the detail screen of the element you want to delete
- At the bottom you will find the "Delete" button — tap it to proceed
- A pop-up screen will open to confirm the action; tap "Delete" to continue.
If you want to delete an element, you must first delete its associated functionalities, such as any defined alerts and conditions based on it. If you do not, the platform will display a warning and you will not be able to continue with the action.
