Configure when and how you want irrigations to be carried out automatically. With our irrigation programmer you can create from the most basic program (opening a valve for a certain duration) to more complex sequential programs (sequential programming of several sectors)
There are several types of programs to suit your needs:
- Day program: Choose specific days of the week and the length you want the program to be active. You can add subprograms and condition factors to this program.
- Window Program: Sets an on time and an off time within the duration.
- Program by interval: Configure irrigations that are repeated every certain number of days.
Create Day program #
- Go to the "Programs" section and click on the "Create Program" icon
- Once inside "Program Creation" Fill in the first required fields "Program Name" and "Start Time"
- Select the type of program, in this case we will select "Days"
- Indicate the days of the week you want the program to be active.
- Create the first subprogram: which will start at the defined start time and indicate the "Duration" and can be as precise as possible by adding hours, minutes and seconds (at least you must add 30 seconds)
- Add actuators such as "Pumps" or "Valves" by selecting the ones you need from the list of installed elements. This list will show the available elements for each of the elements.
- Once the elements have been added to the first subprogram, subscriber subprograms can be created (see the next section
- If you want to continue creating a sequential program, click on "Add subprogram" This will start at "Start time" + "Subprogram duration" and repeat the process.
- Once all the fields are completed, click on "Save"
Adding the same element into multiple subprograms consecutively will subtract a single boot as it will remain open for the entire time.
Fertilizing subprogram #
A fertilizing subprogram, or fertigation, allows you to inject fertilizer or other products into the system during an existing irrigation program. This subprogram is linked to one or more specific actuators (outputs) that are controlled by the fertilizers within a day program.
The total duration of the fertilisation program must be less than or equal to the duration you have indicated above in the irrigation sub-program.
- Within a day program, click on the "Fertilizer" icon
- Define in the first three fields the times that will make up the subprogram, it is mandatory that you add "Fertilizer time (t2)" which will be the time in which the fertilizer is in operation. You can add "Pre-irrigation (t1)" and "Post irrigation (t3)" to let the subprogram valve act before and after fertilization with "clean" water.
- Select the fertilizer from the list of installed fertilizers
- If you wish, you can select an mixer associated with that fertilizer that removes the fertilizer before and during irrigation
- If you have selected an mixer, you will need to define the "Mixing Duration (t5)" which can be continuous or per window (on/off time) and the "Pre mixing (t4)" which is the time that the mixer will be mixing before starting fertilization and that begins before the irrigation subprogram begins.
- If you want to activate a second fertilizer in parallel, click on the "Add fertilizer" button and repeat from step 3
- Once all the fields have been defined, click on "Save"
The fertilizer subprogram will be displayed in the irrigation subprogram of the program and will be saved once the complete program is saved.
Create Window Program #
- Go to the "Programs" section and click on the "Create Program" icon
- Once inside "Program Creation" Fill in the first required fields "Program Name" and "Start Time"
- Select the type of program, in this case we will select "Window"
- Indicate the days of the week you want the program to be active.
- Create the first subprogram: which will start at the defined start time and indicate the "Duration" and can be as precise as possible by adding hours, minutes and seconds (at least you must add 30 seconds)
- Set "Time on" and "Time off" to adjust window wake and stop times
- Add actuators such as "Pumps" or "Valves" by selecting the ones you need from the list of installed elements. This list will show the available elements for each of the elements.
- If you want to continue creating a sequential program, click on "Add subprogram" This will start at "Start time" + "Subprogram one duration" and repeat the process.
- Once all the fields are completed, click on "Save"
Create Interval Program #
- Go to the "Programs" section and click on the "Create Program" icon
- Once inside "Program Creation" Fill in the first required fields "Program Name" and "Start Time"
- Select the type of program, in this case we will select "Intervals"
- It indicates the number of days of interval, this can be (2 days, 3 days, etc.) and the day on which the interval between "Today" and "Tomorrow" begins
- If you want to continue creating a sequential program, click on "Add subprogram" This will start at "Start time" + "Subprogram one duration" and repeat the process.
- Once all the fields are completed, click on "Save"
Program View #
This screen lists all the configured programs (irrigation or fertilization.). From here you can search, create and check the status of each program.
View Elements #
- Program Finder: Filter by name.
- Create Program: Create a new program.
- Program Cards: Each card displays the main information:
- Program Name
- Program type (e.g., Days, Interval, etc.)
- Program (start – end) and, if applicable, the days of the week (L, M, X, J, V, S, D) highlighted. In the case of intervals, the interval days applied.
- On/Off switch: Enables or disables the program. If the user deactivates the program, the program is disabled. It remains saved and visible, but it will not run, even if its time comes.
- Access to the detail: By clicking on the card, open the program detail
Program Status #
The status appears at the bottom of the program card and indicates whether the program order has been received by the Atlas involved:
- Received: The command has successfully reached all Atlas involved.
- Partially received: the order has reached only part of the Atlas involved.
- Not received: The order has not reached any of the Atlas involved.
Alert icon next to status
If an alert icon appears next to the status, it means that something is preventing the full execution of the program (for example: an element has run out of battery or an actuator is in manual mode).
To see what element is affecting, you must go into the detail of the program.
If there are elements in manual mode, a button will appear on the program card to switch them all to automatic mode.
If the program has not been received by all the Atlas involved, a refresh button will appear that allows the order to be resent.
Clock icon next to status
If a clock-like icon appears next to the program's status, it means that the program is running.
Program Detail #
Once a program is accessed, it is possible to perform the following actions.
Start/Stop a program: Using the button at the top of the screen that says "Start Program/Stop Program"
This action allows the program to be activated from the current instant, regardless of the time for which it was programmed. Once finished, the program will be set back to its usual program.
Stopping the program allows us to stop the execution of the program. The actuators will go into manual state after this action.
View program details: As it appears on the program card, you can view the status and days for which the program has been configured, as well as the subprograms linked to the start time, duration, and linked actuators.
From this view we can also activate the refresh buttons of the order and switch to automatic.
Edit/Delete program: At the bottom of the screen we can access the editing mode. This allows the user to modify the settings for which the program was configured and save the new settings. This will overwrite the old values.
The user will also be able to delete the program. A double confirmation will be necessary for this action.
Program Settings #
From the detail view of a program, you can access the program settings by clicking on the menu button located in the upper right corner.
- Mode of the elements. For the program to act correctly, all its elements must be in "Automatic mode", by clicking on the selector all the elements will change to that mode.
- Add Conditions: Add intelligence to your programs based on conditions (only shown in day programs)
- Water Budget: The ultimate goal of the Water Budget is to adjust the total amount of water you contribute to your crops according to specific needs. The Water Budget starts at 100% (time indicated in the program) and adjust it by sliding the bar. For example, if you have defined a 20-minute program, extending it to 120% will increase its duration to 24 minutes.
- Consult program log: In this window you can consult the opening and closing of each of the elements added to a program in table format, as well as the sensor data by which a program has been activated or stopped.
Opening and closing logs are not available for elements registered in Atlas 2. To see the history of these elements, you must access the details of each of them.
Edit Program #
If you wish, you can edit the programs once they have been created with certain limitations.
- Once a program type has been assigned between days, window and intervals, it cannot be modified.
- You cannot modify, delete, or change the order of the actuators included in the subprograms.
- Access the edition from the program detail screen by clicking on the "Edit program" button
- Modify the necessary fields and press "Save" to confirm
In interval programs you will have to activate the modification of interval days by clicking on the selector. You will be able to modify the days and the start day that will be reset according to the date of the edit.
Remove Program #
- Select the program you want to remove from the list of programs
- Go to the bottom of the program view screen and tap on the "Delete" button
- A pop-up screen will open to validate the action. Type in the name of the program and press "Delete" to continue with the action.
Attention! If you want to remove a program with a condition, you must remove the condition before deleting the program.
