The Programming section allows you to create and manage the community's automatic irrigation. From here you can define at what time an irrigation is executed, for how long or with what volume, and on which actuators it will be applied. All created programs are displayed on a table where they can be turned on/off, edited, or deleted.
To create a new irrigation program, click on the “Create program” button, where you can select the type of program between a time program and a volume program.
Create time program#
The timed program allows you to define a start time and duration. In addition, you can choose whether the program acts on certain days of the week or if it works at intervals.
- Program Name
This is the name under which it will be displayed in the Program list. Enter a descriptive name (e.g. "Irrigation Monday-Wednesday", "Irrigation interval tomorrow"). - Start Time
Defines the time at which irrigation will begin. HH:MM format. - Program Mode
- Days: allows you to select one or more days of the week (L, M, X, J, V, S, D). Turn on the "All" option if you want the program to run every day.
- Intervals: allows you to select the number of days in the interval and the day it starts (today or tomorrow)
- Duration
The time that the irrigation will be active. HH:MM:SS format. - Actuators
The "Actuators" block appears in the right-hand panel. Click Add Actuators.
Pressing "Add Actuators" opens the "Select Actuator" window, which displays all valves and pumps available in the facility, whether they belong to a hydrant or a checkpoint. - Click "Save" to create the program.
Once saved, the program will appear in the "Received" status list once the command is sent to the devices whose actuators are in the program. In turn, if the elements of a program belong to a hydrant, it can be seen on the hydrant panel.
Create volume program#
The volume program allows an actuator to be opened until a specific volume of water is reached. In order to create this type of program, it will be necessary to associate a flowmeter.
- Program Name
Enter the name that identifies volume irrigation. - Start Time
The time of day at which the supply will begin. HH:MM format. - Days of the week
As in the timed program, you can choose which days of the week it will run on or activate "All". - Select a flowmeter
- Select Actuator
After selecting the flowmeter, the system enables the "Associated Actuator" field. Select the valve or pump associated with the same Atlas that needs to be opened to deliver that volume.
If it belongs to an Atlas 2 device, only the actuator associated with the same connector will appear.
- Volume
Indicates the volume to be supplied. - Duration (Optional)
This field will only appear in the case where the associated flowmeter belongs to an "Atlas+". Once we select a flowmeter, select duration if you want the program to end, even if it has not finished consuming the volume - Click "Save" to create the program.
The new program will appear in the list with its volume indicated in the corresponding column.
If the associated device is an Atlas 2, you will not be able to select this field.
Overview#
When you access "Programming" a table is displayed with all the programs configured in the community.
In this view you can see:
- Name: Identifies the program (e.g., "DOW Program," "Refresher Program").
- Status: indicates whether the program has been successfully received by the devices.
- Received: Order received by all Atlases involved.
- Partially received: An order received by some but not all of the Atlas involved.
- Not received: No Atlas has received the order.
- Type: Shows whether the program is time-based or volume-based, and within the time-based program if it's set by days or intervals.
- Start: time of day at which the execution of the irrigation will start (HH:MM).
- Duration: Time the actuator will remain open (only in timed programs).
- Volume: volume to be supplied (only in volume programs).
- On switch: Allows you to quickly turn the program on or off so that it doesn't work, but remains saved.
- In the case of a timed program, it is possible to unfold the program and activate/deactivate the actuators separately.
Actions (⋮): Displays the options to edit or delete the program.
For a program to work correctly it must appear as "Received", resend the request, clicking on its status or Resending the action through the action menu (⋮)
Program actions#
- Enable/Disable program
Use the blue switch to turn a program on or off without changing its settings.
When disabled, the program is still on the list, but it will not run at the programd time. - Manual / Automatic
The program can be on automatic or manual.- Switching to automatic will cause all elements to automatically act according to the associated program(s).
- Going manual will mean that all the elements associated with that program have to be acted manually.
For a program to work properly, all of its elements must be in "Auto Mode." Manually transferring the associated elements of a program could cause it and other programs to not run correctly.
- Edit program
- Delete program
If it is running, the "clock" icon will be displayed and the actions will not be able to be performed.
