Branches

The branch section allows you to represent, visualize and manage pipes and the water network or sectors that make up the irrigation network of the community.
Each branch has different checkpoints and hydrants.

Create branch#

Clicking on "Create branch" will open the configuration screen next to the interactive map where the route of the new branch will be traced.

  • Branch name: Enter a descriptive name (for example: North Branch or Sector 03 Branch).
  • Branch Length: Defines the total length of the main pipe.
  • Pipe Diameter: Specifies the nominal diameter of the conduit.
  • Nominal flow: indicates the maximum reference flow to control the flow during irrigation shifts.
  • Nominal pressure: Sets the recommended working pressure for the branch.
  • Concurrency (optional): Defines the maximum number of valves that can remain open at the same time within the branch.

Drawing on the map

  1. On the map, click the button to mark the points that will define the route of the branch.
  2. Each point will be automatically connected forming the line of the route.
  3. You can adjust their position by dragging the nodes or delete segments if necessary.
  4. Assign a color to the branch using the color picker that is displayed when you click the button again . This color will serve to visually identify the branch both on the map and in the lists.

Once completed, press "Save branch" to register the new branch on the platform.

The branch will appear in the main list along with its accumulated volume, checkpoints and associated hydrants.

Overview#

In the main view, a table is shown with all the branches created, accompanied by a location map that allows you to visualize their distribution in the field.

Each row in the table contains the following information:

  • Name: identifies the branch or sector (for example: Sector 01 branch).
  • Checkpoints: total number of elements associated with the branch.
  • Hydrants: number of linked hydrants.
  • Acumulative: total volume of water measured or consumed in the selected period.

At the top is a date selector that allows you to filter the accumulated data of each branch by time range.
You can also use the search fields and filters above to locate a specific branch by name and/or view certain associated elements, for example by clicking on the hydrants tag, we can see the list of hydrants filtered by branch.

The map, located on the right, shows the branches represented by colored lines that correspond to the color assigned in the table, which facilitates their visual identification.

Branches actions#

Edit branch: It allows you to modify the technical data of the branch or adjust its layout on the map. Selecting this option will open the edit screen with the previously filled fields.
Make any necessary edits and click "Save Branch" to update the information.

Delete branch

Important: A branch cannot be removed if it still has checkpoints or hydrants associated with it.
You'll need to unlink them first before proceeding with the deletion.
